Our Story

EXPERIENCED SAILORS

We started as a passionate sailing academy

We began offering sailing training under the name Ankara Kaptan in 2006, and helped more than 3,000 people become acquainted with sailing and even start living at sea with their own boats by 2019.

Fastest Growing Charter Fleet

Strengthening its charter services in 2019, our company created the “Ancyra Sailing” brand and became the fastest-growing and most dynamic company in Turkey after the pandemic, emerging as a leader in the industry.

Providing the Best Experience in Our Own Marina

This success cannot be attributed solely to the quality of our services or the performance of our boats. Our motto, “We provide service as if we were the ones renting the boat,” reflects the passion we felt as amateur sailors at the start of our journey, now embedded in our work ethos. In 2020, to enhance the quality of service at our first base in Fethiye, we launched our own marina, Mai Yacht Club, which has since become one of the most highly regarded marinas in the region.

Three Bases in Turkey and Montenegro

Building on these developments in Turkey, we added a second base in Marmaris – Hisarönü in 2025, offering one-way charter options in one of Turkey’s most popular sailing regions. Taking a significant step to expand beyond Turkey’s borders, we also launched our first international base in Tivat, Montenegro, in partnership with SimpleSailing, with a fleet of 12 boats in 2025. By bringing our quality from Turkey to Montenegro, we have begun realizing our dreams of growth in Europe and worldwide.

A small cozy marina on the edge of Fethiye. Good friendly staff. The car park is small but free. With the acceptance and delivery of the boat, everything went quickly and surprisingly easy. No quibbles, absolutely! Keep it up! We were given an electric motor for the tuzka, which stopped working on the second day, this is not their fault, just a glitch in the electronics) They were informed about this already at the end of the charter. We didn’t hint or even think about compensation. However, they said that they would refund us part of the money for the inconvenience caused, and indeed, we were refunded 50 Euros. A trifle but pleasantly and positively characterizes the charter company. During the rental pro-cess, we called several times with these or other questions and always received support. I definitely recommend the charter company and there are no questions about the pier as a whole. Thank you!
